Being a man on the wrong side of thirty, I struggle to find a place I like to drown my sorrows. The Groty metal bars are on their way out and are stuck musically in 2001, and most coctail bars surroundings take pretension to an uncomfortable level. Now the bozy cow is my ideal comfort zone. Interior reminds me of the primal scream album "evil heat" which was a fantastic start. They had guardians of the galaxy in the telly box, another rare treat and to cap it off the cocktails are spot on. First visit, my wife and I hammered through a comfortable portion of the coctail list. My self favouring the watermelon moo tai, splended, and the wife torn between thier version of the bloody Mary and the moobery muffin. Bar staff were epic. Friendly, charismatic and can whip up a mean cocktail . Even got a new metal band to listen too from spying the bar man's t shirt. The music in here sets the mood for an old timer like my self. Walked into a bit of Steve Winwood, nice... real nice and was serenaded with other classic such Toto, lulu, Mr Mr. Absolutely delighted as my other half and I can't stand each other's music, as she likes that mumble nonsense. But here, this was something we both could enjoy.
We returned with four friends this Sunday, and once again plowed through the coctail list with zero regard for our liver's or of our impeding work the next again day. A riotous time had. Even a cheeky dance to Cher. Tremendous. Everyone singing the praises of the establishment and the bar staff. Another added bonus is, I'd say we were the oldest people there by 10 years and didn't even notice, with my graying mane, I feel more aware of my age as I'm out and about. Not here. You can full embellish your Peter Pan syndrome to it's full extent.
Think it's pretty obvious I love this place, and if you don't too? What's wrong with you?
Keep up the exceptional work.
