Well, I am a local and have been coming to SolToro for a while and all I can say is that it used to be better.

The atmosphere was changed a while back from a nice rustic wood decor to a new white "Cancun Resort Restaurant" style. Not good, not intimate at all now. The food stayed the same, which WAS great, but on 12/31 I went and the food as completely changed for the worse.

Food. I ordered the simple chimichanga. The meat was more like a ground hamburger with a gravy sauce, not like it used to be. The rice was dry and the black beans were way over done.

Service. The waiter was nice at first, but when we did not order drinks, he attitude changed to a fast food service type place. Not impressed

Menu. The menu is small. Much smaller then years passed and one side of the two sided menu was dedicated alcohol, a little over done.

SolToro is ok at best. For the money, go to Michael Jordans and eat on the sports bar side. Always a great meal with more choices.
