While at a national convention for our industry, our Association paid for a cocktail party here. Having been to multiple cocktail hours over the years with this industry association we thought it was weird that we were being wanded and searched, as we've never had that happen before. When it got to be my turn in line I complied with all requests to go through my bag and wand me, until I was asked to remove my medicine for a serious medical condition and show my Identification for it. When I told them that is a HIPPA violation I was asked to leave in front of all my colleagues.

First off, my coworkers don't need to know that I have medicine with me period. So I'm surely not going to remove it and flash it around. Nor would I hand it over to a complete stranger for them to "lock up".
And secondly when I politely explained the violation, the amazon sized female bouncer was so incredibly loud and rude that I was humiliated.
I have another event at this venue tonight and I won't be attending because of how rude their staff is. I would suggest that anyone thinking of attending this venue find ANYWHERE else in Las Vegas to go.
