I am an Alumni of this institute. I recently visited this place for a meeting with Alumni (20 years after we joined the college).

The college has seen tremendous improvement compared how it was when we studied here.

There are so many new buildings and a big shuffle in the department buildings. All the classrooms have been shifted from the departments to a common lecture hall complex.

The number is hostels almost doubled. We visited the hostels where we stayed. All of them have tiles everywhere. So, in general it looked clean and neat compared to how it was 16 years back. There is a property cycle stand for each hostel and a motor air pump in the cycle stand. Some of the hostels even have a cycle repair shop. The TV rooms are now air conditioned . The bathrooms now have a geyser and washing machine. There are petty shops near most hostels for quick snacks and other academic needs (Xerox, stationary, etc)

The hostel messes are now outsourced and the quality of food seems to be better than what we used to get.

There is a 24x7 cafe coffee day inside the campus near the sports complex. The number is shops in the shipping complex have doubled.

All the roads in the campus are in good condition. A separate path for pedestrians is there along the roads in many places.

Overall, happy to see the progress from 2002 to 2016
