This was supposed to be a great experience. We waited a half hour beyond our reserved table time, during which we were encouraged to just go to the bar and order another drink. How to ruin dinner . . , We were finally seated with a good waitress. NO ONE poured wine after the first glass or took further drink orders until asked - we did it as though we were home. The appetizers were really delicious. Then, because the service had been so appalling, they trotted out a chef with our main course, who told us he'd served the Obamas' and proceeded to have staff shave what appeared to be truffles on everything we'd ordered. It was not truffles, unless it was some wax coating over the real thing. And they shaved it onto the main courses, two of which featured shrimp - shrimp so overcooked that it was beyond embarrassing It was so bad that we walked out, leaving almost a full, second bottle of wine and the contents of three out of four of our main courses. Don't go here - you will not feel special, believe me. We are home chefs - not trying to overblow things, but none of us would have ever stood next to the food we were served and said - right -accurate cooking , , , , Don't do this to yourselves for $600+ Just don't.
