Definately worth a visit when visiting New York, if you are looking to visit the top of statue of liberty, make sure you buy tickets for that 2-3 months in advance or they sell out. The ferry ride is about 10 min from the mainland and look into spending 1-2 hour on the island to experience the beauty of the statue and the new York city skyline. A lot of construction going on at the moment and it's a busy spot for pictures goers.
