Ok this might be a bit long but please stay with me. For those who know me you know over materialistic things I get upset for 30 mins then get over it and usually get screwed. Well this time I can t let it go
I have a 2013 VW Tiguan with a limited warrenty. When I turned my wheel to the right there was a clunking noise. I researched it and all said I need a left axle. Reviewing my Warrenty it was covered!
I called Trend Volkswagen in Rockaway brought the car in they confirmed it was the axle gave me a loaner car and told me car should be ready the next day. Remember I DROVE my car to the dealership. I get a call the next day and Chris like it s nothing says I need a new transmission I asked why he said getting the axle out a piece broke in the tranny and they can t get it out. My warrenty calls for transmission replacement but since it s not internal they won t cover it. Again Chris matter of factly says a new tranny is 6k. I told him to get me two.lol We had two conference call with the warrenty company 2 different people on a recorded line questioned how the mechanic took off the axle. One said i could not have driven the car there with that axle. The warrenty company asked for pictures and foolishly they also gave them to me
I went to 3 independent mechanic and all agreed based on the pictures the dealership broke my axle
I m stuck they can t put my axle back on and I can t afford a tranny. Two days ago the service manager John asks me to come in he s thinks he had two solutions. He first proceeds to tell me it s like you go to the Dr and his says you need a new heart i have a right for a second and third opinion .The first option is they tilt the tranny and attempt to drill the broken piece out. Naturally my cost $800. But he liked his second one better. He ran the car fax on my car and saw i was in a accident on 10-18. It was a fender bender no damage to either car. The car I rolled into was a plumbing truck. He wanted it reported made no sense but the cops case
So John proceeds to tell me to call the insurance company and tell them that I rarely use the car since I have two and tell them I took it out heard this noise and brought to him and he ll take it from there
I told him i would do it ( bet never did)It was at the point when he wanted me to commit insurance fraud he was admitting Trend broke my axle. I was done. I told them I was taking John advice and I want to take my car for another opinion
I said I drove my car in I want to drove my car home
Yesterday morning Chris leaves me a voice mail saying my car is ready to be picked up with a tow truck
I called and spoke with John he refused to have my car drivable refused to pay for the tow and told me if they loaner car wasn t returned by 6pm he would report it stolen
I arranged for my insurance company to tow the car to my mechanic at a minimal cost
This is far from over. The sap is not letting this one go
I never ask for much but please share,whatever tell everyone not to deal with Trend dealership. Never
They are liars and want you to break the law
