We went on a Sunday and while I had been before in past years, my husband had not. He mentioned it was better than expected. Kids get in free on Sundays and we got adult tickets from Costco so that saved a good amount on the entry price. It is expensive for food and drinks, but I did not think all the activities were super expensive. There were plenty of options for the kids for $2 each to keep them entertained. The most expensive thing I saw were elephant rides for $10 each.

Wear comfortable shoes! The place is huge and you will walk a lot. Also, great people watching
