So, we got a room here for $137 using Priceline's Express Deals (listed as 4.0 stars). Indeed the room was well thought out with comfortable beds and recent furnishings. I wouldn't call it luxurious, but definitely very clean, maybe a 3-star if I had to guess. You can't beat the fact it's within walking distance from Times Square and there is even a door from the Regal theater.

Breakfast and even in-room Wi-Fi are extra (luckily I was close enough to a dining room with free Wi-Fi). I guess that's normal for hotels of this class. The $50/day parking is still a bit unreasonable though. We booked an indoor parking 2 blocks away using ParkingWhiz for $25. Be careful not to touch the items in the in-room "refreshment" fridge. We moved a few items to put something in the fridge and ended up being automatically charged at check-out for the entire fridge at $8/drink bottle - the fees were promptly removed after I raised the issue.

The service was great. On our last day at NYC we left our bags with the free concierge service downstairs even though we had already checked out. We also got the room type we wanted despite being a Priceline Express Deals reservation.

Overall, a good experience but I wouldn't return here if I had to pay more.
