The Hatch ELITE internship program was the most valuable internship experience I had as a college undergrad. The program was comprised of 14 total interns and we were given actual responsibilities that contributed to the day in and day out functionalities of Hatch to gain real life experience and have the opportunity to make an impact on the business. Hatch encourages interns to play on their strengths, challenges their weaknesses and dive deep in any particular aspects of the business that interests them. For example, we were given topics that we had to research, and present our findings on, individually to Hatch employees. One topic was social media and how Hatch could leverage their efforts. I was particularly interested in this area and when I won the best presentation I was given the opportunity to take social into my own hands and help increase Hatch's efforts. I even stayed on an additional year at Hatch working solely on social.

Overall, I learned valuable career skills as well as gained a better understanding of who I am becoming as a professional. It should go without saying that the coworks/culture at Hatch is incredible and from it I even gained a mentor who has helped guide me on my professional journey. I would recommend this internship to anyone, it's an opportunity you should not pass up.
