Nykky Roadarmel Review of Harrah's Resort

I booked a room in the month of May for dates July 1 4. I also called in the month of May and spoke with someone at the front desk, she assured me that my room would be ready by 1PM on the 1st of July. As I arrived around 2PM on July 1st, I was unsure of where the front desk is. The first employee that I saw I asked about check in and they were more adamant on recommending signing up for the Total Rewards card than checking into my room. I was able to find the Front Desk and kiosks. I approached the kiosk and hoped for a problem free check-in. I was wrong. As I attempted to sign in to the kiosk, an employee walked over and informed me that the kiosk I was using was broken. Instead of recommending a solution, he continued about the Total Rewards card. I found a working kiosk and after inputting all of my information after waiting in line after other guests for about 15 minutes, then dealing with another 15 minutes at the kiosk it promptly informed me to proceed to the check in line as it did not disperse my room key with no explanation why. An hour later of waiting in line, the employee who was extremely unprofessional looking, informed me that my room was not ready, but would be ready by 4PM. The employee took my phone number and assured me that I would receive a text message at 4PM informing me that my smoking room with a king size bed would be ready by 4. He also was unable to provide a map of the hotel and casino. I would also have to go into a separate line to obtain my room key.
The bar by the check in area has bar stools torn and dirty, beers tasted bad, bar snacks stale.
At 4PM the employee now helping advised that check in can be between 4PM and 8PM, ignoring the fact I was told my room would be ready at 1PM, then 4PM. A manager did offer me a smoking room with two beds.
Arriving to the room at 5PM, there was a food cart in the hallway by the room door. The receipt on the cart was dated June 30th and also had at least day old food on it.Both carts for the duration of being in the hallway acquired more food and even baby diapers - removal of these carts and old food should be removed on a daily basis.
Now, booking a smoking room, I was not expecting much. I do, however, expect a refrigerator with no broken parts. This was not the case (picture attached). There was also hair on the shower rod (picture attached), a hole in the bathroom wall (picture attached), the light in the bathroom was broken (picture attached), torn bed sheets (picture attached) on top of two beds that are not queen sized. The TV stand/dresser was broken (picture attached), and there was an odd amount of scotch tape on the wall above the window, that what I assume, was from a previous guest (picture attached).
Even the elevators were not up to par (picture attached) along with poor ventilation throughout the building, no direction for guiding guests as to where they are going and also a pathetic buffet with employees who clearly have no work ethic. I was also charged a Wi-Fi fee which was supposed to be included in the resort fee.
I highly recommend NOT staying here because the customer service is beyond poor and the quality of the hotel is less than sub-par. The check in process is atrocious and the fact that booking a room here (and paying in advance) is meaningless because you will either wait over half a day to get the room you initially booked or get offered a room you did not book with no compensation. The amount of money spent on the hotel itself, food, gambling and other amenities during a stay at Harrah s along with the poor customer service and housekeeping is not worth the penny you give to the homeless person outside the boardwalk.
