It's a great spot for dinner with friends or drinks. It's a great tapas menu filled with a mix of delicious bites. Most of the dishes are meant to be eaten with bread-- bone marrow, anchovies, spreads, etc.... so it's great if you're sharing with people. It's not quite the menu for brunch. They open for lunch/brunch, but the menu doesn't change. I was expecting a few Spanish inspired breakfast bites, but that's not the case at Toro. It's a delicious menu, but can be a little heavy on the salt and definitely NOT low cal-- there's a good amount of oil/fat/butter on many of the dishes. You can pick those that are healthier, but definitely not the place if you are looking for healthy. On that same note-- I'll say they do a great job of adding brightness (citrus) to balance the fat/oils. The bone marrow is delicious. First time, I loved it. Second time it wasn't quite the same. So... perhaps consistency isn't their strong point.
