Had a home built by Lifestyles Homes. Bonnie and the sales team were outstanding, after that dealing with Lifestyles has been so so. Our house manager did very little to inform us on progress of our house, many minor issues that should have been caught by him were not, and I'm not sure what he did beyond making sure all the others subcontractors came together to build the house. Compared to the references given to us by prior customers who said that their managers went the extra mile, Dan Coe did not go an extra inch and had the standard statement of "that isn't my job." Umm, yea, building permits is....ensuring the fencing contractor knows where to go, etc! I live 6 time zones away and was coming to Missouri for a conference, asked if I could fly down on the weekend to check on the home build and was told, "I don't work weekends." Four months later we are still waiting on minor issues to be fixed. After looking through the paperwork we noticed an overcharge for the pool. Martins pool's informed Lifestyles and us that we were overcharged by nearly 3k. Lifestyles did admit that it was an error and will give us a refund. Three months later we are yet to get our payment. The few of the excuses were: Our finance guy took the day off to see the solar eclipse, the computers were hacked and we cannot check the data, a check was mailed weeks ago...yes, all true, plus many more.

Overall, considering we had homes built in the past, this has been the worst experience. The reason we went with Lifestyles was because of the great sales people. However, it is more important to get a good deal, a good home, and a business that stands behind its customers. In about a year I will update to point out if they refunded or if we had to go to court, and if they made good on fixing the issues around the home. There are many good home builders out there, do your homework.

UPDATE: After posting a review we did get a call from Lifestyles home the same day and received our refund check the next day. Yet to get any call on repairs, rather than wait I will probably fix them myself. But considering we paid A LOT of money for this home, you'd think Lifestyles would follow up or just give a courtesy call on how we like our home. The last two home builders did that.
