I have been taking the kids to this zoo at least five times a year for the last six years. We usually get the annual membership, which is worth it if you plan on taking your kids more than once a year. This place is a gem in the middle of bustling Bronx. The best time to come here is when the zoo opens. You'll have the entire zoo to yourself. If you start from the Asia entrance, you will be the first in line for everything. Once the zoo gets busy around 2pm, we are usually on our way out. This zoo is always opening new exhibitions, so my kids are always excited about their next visit.
