I am very disappointed in the way Carowinds handle...

I am very disappointed in the way Carowinds handled the situation on Saturday, August 18, 2018. I arrived, after driving for 3 hours, at about 6:30 pm. The person who came with me stays about 4 hours away. The person at the ticket line took our tickets, scanned them, ripped them, then proceeded to tell us that the rides were closed due to an incoming storm. He immediately sent us to the service line once we had a problem with that. We stood in the line for an hour 1/2 as it rained off and on. After finally making it to the counter. She told us that not only can we not get our money back but we have to get a ticket that only has 4 pm admission and can only use it in the next 2 weeks. The people at the computer beside us received a full refund. We did not ride a single ride. We basically paid to stand in a line for a 1 1/2 getting wet. We have been trying to contact them since, calling several times, only to get a "We will call/email you back". This should have been handled better and no one should have taken tickets from anyone for them to waste their money. As I stated before, I drove for 3 hours. I will not be going back to Carowinds.
