Over a year ago we organized Fabulous Catering for our wedding. We ended up having a number of problems with the company which I will outline below:

1) We tried and failed to organize a tasting as our emails went unheeded, but by this time we had already chosen and booked what we wanted (which looked good on the website, but was not in real life - more on this later).

2) On the day the two "Professional" waiters/servers were at most 19 and inexperienced and did not move around to all of the guests and make sure that everyone got something to eat. I mention this as we specifically told them that there were a couple of elderly family members one of which is almost blind who we wanted to make sure got something to eat.

3)The chef was rude to, and managed to get into an argument with my younger brother who has been working in food service for a number of years. My wife head the altercation and intervened and only when I appeared did the chef take the tone back down to acceptable levels.

4) The food. Now the food, taste wise, was acceptable but the portion sizes were smaller than expected, especially the "substantial" foods, and almost all of the foods did not look like the pictures on the website. An example: the "gourmet" finger foods had a hamburger as an option that we picked, the picture shows a slider on a brioche bun with a pattie, cheese, tomato, lettuce etc. What we got: 2 pieces of french baguette, a small pattie, a piece of cheese and tomato sauce. Most of the other foods were similarly miss-represented on their website.

After the Honeymoon we emailed Fabulous Catering with these complaints to see what they would do about the issues, and lo and behold they ignored us, not even a courtesy email with an apology. Over the next couple of months we tried again at least 4 more times and again nothing. I guess once they had our money they didn't seem to care about customer service anymore.

TL:DR - Inexperienced "professional" staff, rude Chef, small portion size, food didn't look like the advertised pics at all and the company ignored any attempts we made to contact them to rectify issues.

My advice - Do you research and hire someone else for your function.
