Love the history! Be sure to check your ticket for time the statue is closing. We bought tickets to go up into the crown but spent a little too long in the gift shop and the statue closed. There should be large signs that state the hours the statue closes so people don't waste their money and miss out on seeing that part of history. Still a great time and place to see a part of America that few get to see any more.
