I'll give it a 3 star, I've been going to MIS since 1988. I'll start with the in no order good bad vice versa.. It's in a great location compared to many other places I've been to. The parking area on the grassy rolling hills are nice, they 4 way highway lanes are all one way traffic going in and same exiting. It's an excellent place to tail gate after the race and you have until 11pm to leave. They have trolleys that gives you a lift so you don't have to walk 2 miles before the gates.

About 20 years ago or more the traffic was horrendous. I live 45 miles, roughly 1 hr and 15 minutes no traffic from the track. On race day it would take about 3-4 hours just to finally park after bumper to bumper for miles.Every year it was improving, Around 2005 they expanded the parking making a farmer one rich man.The track had sold out for 11 years straight with 132,000 seats not including the infield campers in the infield of the 2 mile oval track.Suites were added and business was booming.

I went last year as of 2014, prior to that they had taken out a portion of the center grand stand turn 4 area and completely had taken out turn 3 all due to the change of the Nascar chase that started in 2004 and now MIS holds 77,000 seats unless it has declined more since. The sad thing is that not even 75% of the seats are selling. Trust me if you're looking to buy center grandstand seats or turn 4, don't spend the big buckaroos, you can get your regular seats around $72.00, beofre the race, 50-100 laps in the race turn around and look up, there's so many $92-$122.00 seats available!

Now with race day traffic, I can get to my parking in about 1 hr and 45 minutes the latest.

The good is, less traffic, smaller lines, easier to and from track.

The bad, Bill France Jr really destroyed everything his dad did to build Nascar from the bottom to the 2nd most watched entertainment only to NFL since this Chase he created in 2004.

I love racing, it's just not the same.
