I hate to be this person, I really enjoy giving glowing reviews of my travels but unfortunately I just can t justify anything more than 3 stars for our stay, I feel I owe it to others who are considering spending their time & investment on a holiday to Fiji.

I ll start with what we loved...jet ski safari - wonderful value day trip, the highlight of our trip. Golf course is great, and offers a wonderful daytime activity. Private dinner on the beach organised by management as an apology for some prior mishaps...the food and setting was incredible....I was shocked that the food was of such quality after the state of all our prior meals, it also made me confident you have the capacity to improve the restaurants. The staff are absolutely lovely, some of the most kind, joyful people I have ever met, and Natadola beach is a 5-star setting...the intercontinental has the bones to be a world class holiday destination but unfortunately they are being let down by management who clearly aren t getting across or don t understand the training, and the quality that is expected of a 5-star resort. The food is astronomically priced, which is standard for Fiji however the quality is sub-par on a good day...there is a huge discrepancy between price and the quality I would expect in return. The staff have communication gaps, things constantly seem to slip between the cracks in terms of organisation, and efficiency...again, lovely people, I put it down to a lack of training and direction from a management level.

It makes me really sad, because I have returned to intercontinental each year, and watched it steadily decline in quality but I also believe that it could be easily turned around by some input and redirection at a management level. I hope this feedback helps you improve, it s meant from a place of constructive criticism, knowing that if it was me...I would want to know how I could improve and meet expectations.
