Nicole Fredrickson Review of Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel

I was disappointed with this hotel experience. If you're paying $200+ a night on a hotel, you'd expect it to be on the same level as other $200+ hotels in the area. My TV was broken for the first night and it was repaired while I was out. They are doing renovations in the bottom level and there was no mention of this when I made my reservations. The bar was temporarily moved to a back room that's past a nail salon that has a back door that shares the hallway... Very sketchy. There's exposed drywall in the main lobby that detracts from the decor.
I've stayed at other Doubletrees and intentionally chose this hotel over others because I've had good experiences with them in the past. Sadly, this is not up to par with them.
I also have a problem with the Doubletree/Hilton website as they don't let you contact them to leave feedback. Instead the only option they give you is to make a public complaint. I'd have preferred dealing with Customer Service regarding this.
