This purchase took place in the initial weeks after the Phase 1 pandemic re-opening (late May/early June 2020), and while not entirely flawless, the Nissan Downtown team worked hard to remedy all issues and thus the 5 star rating.
Car had been spec'd via Nissan.ca and the follow-up reach-outs both from sales consultant Min and sales manager Leo were friendly and correct. The visit to the dealership was fine (nice environment), Min worked out the details for the deal and then financial services manager Rada prepared the financing materials, once again, with a friendly and easy-going tone throughout. The actual vehicle which matched the required specs was located at the sister dealership (Avenue Nissan), which likely helped keep the delivery timeframe speedy, especially given the pandemic uncertainties. Communications with both Min and Rada during the week were prompt and courteous. Within one week of the visit to the dealership, the car was ready to be picked up. At pick-up (a Saturday) most things were as expected, save for two issues: the few simple accessories that had been ordered (such as branded floor mats, safety kits etc) had not arrived in time, and thus could not be picked up; and secondly, while the requested splash guards had been installed, the fog lights had not. However, all other details were ready, and delivery specialist Vlad made taking possession smooth. The following Monday, Min coordinated to get the missing accessories delivered, and they were dropped off that same day personally by Leo. Also on Monday, the fog lights issue was clarified: with the front facelift of the vehicle between the 2019 and 2020 model years, that option was not yet ready on the dealers' backend to install (wasn't 'in the dealer's system'), and should not have been 'selectable' on the website. While this was a communication mishap, it was not a dealbreaker, and Leo immediately refunded the full cost of the option and also offered two free oil changes as a gesture for the inconvenience. Thus all was resolved, in a friendly and courteous way. One week later, the car is performing great as expected, and expectations are that the upcoming service experiences will be similarly correct and pleasant. Recommended.
