It was a rainy winter weekday evening, so things were quiet. My work colleague and I were offered a free appetizer and first drink as enticement - though we already were going to go to GSS from another colleague's recommendation ;-). (The drinks menu has a printed red against items that you will get it if you receive a drink offer - I took the yummy Tiger beer - so negotiate the deal! ) We ordered the bruschetta, a porterhouse steak each and the steamed vegetables. Bruschetta was nice surprise - different from regular take using sliced Roma tomatoes, rocket and a balsamic drizzle on nice crusty bread. The generous enough steak was great (mine medium done) - tasty, nice slight crust grill and still moist inside. Vegetables were tasty add firm. Chips ( which come with the steak) had a good crunch with a subtle coating, fluffy inside and not oily. Nice wait staff. Really pleasant meal. Highly recommended.
