Review of Slurping Turtle

Went to try Slurping Turtle for the 1st time this ...

Went to try Slurping Turtle for the 1st time this evening. Walked in around 8pm, and asked to be placed on the waiting list. Was quoted about a 30 min wait. Stepped back into their entry way to look at the menu and choose some items.

The entry way over the course of 20 mins would become very full and then empty with customers walking in for take out and other guests signing up for the wait list.

After about 20 mins, there were about 7 people, split between 3 groups, all were social distancing, and all were wearing masks, just trying to stay out of the cold.

A man, that would later be identified as the GM, came over with no introduction, no knowledge of who was waiting for what, and barked at all of us to wait outside. No please, no thank you, no questions to the hostess about what customers were waiting for what, just a very loud and disrespectful set of orders to leave.

After everyone left, we spoke with the others, and everyone was quite taken a back by the callous disregard for customer service. I walked in to speak with the man and address the issue. He did apologize and made the excuse that he had just seen a lot of people and got nervous so he yelled. I expect a GM of a popular establishment in a large college town to be able to calmly assess a situation and react accordingly, not panic and yell at guests. My guess is this is his normal behavior and he has just never been called out on it.

We will not be returning.
