I was horribly food poisoned on the 1st day of the vacation and was struggling during the whole stay. I didn't eat anywhere else except the hotel, so it was definitely the hotel's fault. I presume it happened in the French restaurant and there were bad quality shrimps in the salad. We paid almost USD 500.00 for doctor's visit. The whole vacation was simply ruined since I was in bed with high temperature (more than 39) and other bad symptoms. Also there is not much to eat for dinner if you are healing after food poisoning and on the diet (almost everything is fried, spicy and oily). It was quite difficult to find the proper food. Waiters always want to offer you water and any other drink with ice (we all know that it's better to avoid ice in such countries as Mexico). We decided that we will never ever book any all inclusive hotel again. The quality of food and drinks is way worse than it could be when you pay for it each time. All inclusive wine is just something that can't be consumed (the cheapest local wine). The wine list is ok-ish but quite expensive.
Besides my bad luck with the food, the hotel is overcrowded with American tourists who are giving tips to hotel staff for every single tiny little thing, so if you are not giving tips for everything staff is already concerned.
Hotel's territory is nice and clean. There are a lot of cute raccoons and iguanas here and there. Beach is nice as well, however, you have to fight for the sunbed.
So, if you want a huge club hotel on all-inclusive with not really great food - this is a place to go. Otherwise, for exclusive boutique vacation choose another smaller hotel.
