Had not been to NC in many years. All I remember was lots of ice. The upgrades to snow making seemed to be worth it and even without real snow it was nice to get some practice runs in before heading west.

Staff on all levels and areas were friendly and helpful which was great since it was my first time here.

Food options were pretty bad. I'd advise bringing your own lunch, which I did on the second day.

Only minor complaint is with the lack of management for the lifties. When the lines started forming there were always idiot noob types sitting at the front of the line still waiting for friends and holding up the line. Lift operators were doing nothing to keep the line moving. Also, couldn't even count the number of times I saw solo riders going up a two person lift despite there being a line. One more staff member helping out and getting people riding up two at a time is needed.

To the idiots complaining about them blowing snow: if they weren't then the place wouldn't even be open and you couldn't ski at all. Dress appropriately and it doesn't matter.
