Horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service.
I went to middletown honda to see what was going on with my keyfob. My car is a 2016 Honda civic. I purchased in April 2016. So it is literally 3 years old.
While at Honda was spoken to as if I was a child. My keyfob doesn't work, and I told them that. I told them the battery in it was brand new. They proceed to tell me I need a new one. Then they put one in and see for themselves that it didn't work.
They said I need a new keyfob. I asked if it could be re-programmed (which I was told it could be). The employees claim it can't be, and that I have to buy a new one (because my car has over 36,000 miles on it).
Why should I have to buy a new one when my car is LITERALLY 3 years old? The extended warranty I purchased when I bought my car, apparently doesn't apply to the keyfob.
When I asked why they don't stand behind their product, I was told it was because they "didn't make the keys". Awesome.
