f you're looking for a decent hotel/motel in Columbus, just keep scrolling by this one. We stayed here the weekend of the home opener for Buckeye football. Now, mind you, I am the definition of a cheapskate. I knew not to expect a 5-star hotel. But, this place was... interesting.

First of all, let me tell you that I knew to expect inflated prices because of the football weekend, and you should too. This dinky motel cost us $272 and some change for two nights. It was the cheapest in the area and I only really selected it because it is about a mile from Ohio Stadium. So ok, I got over that.

We pulled up to their convenient drive-thru check-in window. Waited 5-10 minutes to even be acknowledged. The guy who finally acknowledged us did not even say hello or welcome.. or anything really just "name?". I've lived in Ohio all of my life so I already kinda know that ppl are rude here and everyone hates their lives. Ok, next... We check in and go to our room. Again, I knew not to expect 5 stars. I always check for bedbugs and did NOT find any. Okay, there was a plus. Stained comforter, dirty floors, etc. Nice tv, refrigerator, and microwave.

Our stay was just fine, except that a god awful old school fire alarm went off BOTH mornings around 7am. Now mind you, we are early risers so it did not affect us much but you may want to keep that in mind. It was one of those old school bell and hammer alarms and it was incredibly loud.

So this review does not have a climax. Just overall, I think I will try to not compromise hotel quality for price. You get what you pay for.
