My husband, 3 month old daughter, and I went to the bronx zoo last weekend. The area was very clean and well taken care of with clear walkways and the plants were very nice as well. The animals we got to see had good living spaces and seemed happy. We paid for general admission, but by doing this we ended up missing a lot. Every exhibit here is an extra 4 to 6 dollars per person. And half of them are indoors and do not allow strollers. I do not like to just leave my stroller parked were there are a lot of people. The one time we did leave the stroller to go in, the building was huge but only had a portion of it for display animals. I was so disappointed with it. The food is overpriced and not very appetizing. My husband almost got hit pushing our stroller ( thankfully I was holding baby) by a large cart, the guy was not watching where he was driving. Summed up we paid 12 for parking 15 a piece to get in and 4 a piece for the petting zoo. We were not going to pay extra money for every exhibit. I will not go back here ever. I highly recommend the Tampa, Florida zoo. The Bronx zoo reminded me of a state fair, you pay to get in and walk around then pay more for every little thing, at least the fair has good food!
