We booked thru secret escapes and its the first time when we are a bit disappointed.
When we arrive at the reception it was a lady with 0 customer service skills(probably she was new or in training) till her colleague came to help her she couldn't even understand my name on spelling.
We checked in and they gave us room 264.When we got to the room ,the wind it was hauling thru our window.the window was so old and needs fixing.Because of the window the room was chill as well.
Being a 5 star hotel we was expecting our spa robes and flip flops to be in the room,here not.You have to go all the way to spa to pick them up and to come back in the room to change or you can go and get changed there.
Dinner was the good part of our staying. Nice Ribeye steak with very nice creme brulee at the end.
In the morning breakfast was worst the average.
All the juices you could see thru them,no taste no nothing.
Coffee on the table worst then kenko sticks.
Hot buffet ,the fried eggs looked like they have been there for ages,overcooked sausages and warm mushrooms.
Being a 5 star restaurant we had expectations. Service and quality.
The only good service we had was the waitress who served us the dinner and the spa receptionists.
When we checked out it was a different receptionist but not interested at all.we said our room number and she wish us to have a great day.not even a question ,hownwas your staying,was everything ok.
Dear management in Mottram Hall,
The place is looking good but 5 stars require quality.
Far far away from 5 stars.
Only the prices are close to 5 starts.
