I have further downgraded my review to 1 star. DO NOT USE FABULOUS CATERING EVEN IF MOST OF THEIR FOOD TASTED GOOD. (The 1 star is for the Chef who attended at our function.)

I have received an email back from Fabulous Catering essentially saying that my partner, friends, and I have ALL lied about missing food items. I'm reproducing their email response below:-

"Thank you for your ff up, and we apologize for the long wait. As this would need a lot of investigation from the sales order staff to the kitchen to the Chef in charge of your event.

And as a result of the investigation we had found out that all items listed on the sales order were provided and served on the day of your function, therefore there is no need for any refund to be processed."

Anyone who reads this whole review can decide for themselves. As for me, I won't be using Fabulous Catering again.

I have downgraded the review by 1 star to 3 stars.

I'm adding this update because I did not mention a minor complaint I had with missing menu items. I had decided back then to directly lodge my complaint with Fabulous Catering to give them a chance to explain. However, 2 months later, I still haven't heard anything from them.

My order from the Gourmet Finger Food Menu was for 8 items per person, however there were missing items from each category: 1x (a seafood dish) from Gourmet menu, 2x from Vegetarian menu, 2x from Vegan menu. If these weren't available (which is understandable), I will add that no replacements were provided on the day.

I am still waiting for a response and for my refund. Please check your order on the day. Customers pay the agreed price, therefore we must receive the agreed quantity. If not available, either provide us with a replacement on the day, or a refund later on.

I heard of Fabulous Catering from my work, who used them for a number of company events. Which was why I decided to use Fabulous Catering for a surprise birthday lunch gathering for my partner. The chef who looked after us was amazing. She was by herself, preparing the food, serving us, and then cleaning up after everyone's gone. The food I ordered, from the Gourmet Finger Food menu, was different to what she was used to preparing, which did not daunt her at all. We can see she really enjoyed cooking/prepping. All through the event, she remained calm, friendly, and customer-focused. She looked after our Vegetarian and Vegan friends really well too. The food tasted better than expected - maybe because I ordered from the Gourmet menu AND stayed away from fried foods. We, and our friends, were impressed, and we will use Fabulous Catering as long as we have this same chef again.
