Just returned from a visit to Miami Seaquarium and I have to say, we were disappointed. To see a solitary orca, swimming in circles, in a tank that I would call a swimming pool, was disgraceful. Even my 5 year old child knows that Orcas are social and highly intelligent animals that need the interactions of others of their kind. The staff of Miami Seaquarium seemed indifferent to this even though my son kpet asking questions. Their well rehearsed lines rolled off their toungues, but did nothing to assuage the feeling of hopelessness we left with. We will never recommend this place or the city of Miami to any of our friends as a tourist destination.
