This art museum in New York City was recently extensively enlarged and renovated. Previously, it was extremely crowded , so much so that you often could not get close enough to the art to look at it.

MOMA has also changed the way it presents art. Previously, art was displayed chronologically within general art types- e.g. impressionism, etc.

Its now being displayed within individual galleries with an overall theme.- e.g.abstract expressionism, design, etc.There are more mixing of say photography and sculpture as well as more less well known artists , women and minorities.

The presentation gives you a fuller picture than a chronological view does . The explanation by the art seems much better and there are ways to access explanations about the work from the internet on your phone and on audio devices they give out.
