Well, not much to say about Versailles that probably has not been written already. Grand and luxurious architecture, adorned with crystals an work of arts inside, covered with shiny, glittering gold up to the very top of the roof on the outside. Amazing landscaping work with stunning water features. An incredible array of gardens of all sorts and shapes. Fountains of all sizes filled with beatiful statues.
A really pleasant surprise are the restaurants inside. Good selection of excellent wines with the choice of top quality gourmet food. This is something you don't find even in the best British Stately homes. Special mention to Angelina, top notch restaurant with amazing wine and superb food quality.
