This was very fishy from the start. Very pushy and very aggressive. I knew something was off when I offered less than 50% to settle and they said my supervisor has accepted the offer debt collectors are never that easy to negotiate with and usually never settle for less than half.
I hung up. Looks like they can access public info
Like old debts and try and scam you out of money. I asked for time to validate the debt and she stated we will not be able to offer the settlement than. It was also fishy that she stated that the debt would be settled in full which btw wasn t even on my credit report and I just purchased a house. Just hang up!
