One of the best zoos I have seen. The walks are nicely laid out and if you lost all the animals this could be a botanical garden if they put out plant tags. Start at the lemurs. They are so much fun and it is amazing to be so close to them. I liked all the fun markers in the Australian Bush section about different kinds of poo. The elephants have a great enclosure and it is nice to see the Thai buildings nearby. The best side is the whole left side, though if they keep working on the right side it will compete. The Japanese garden is nice and by mid October when all the cherry trees will be in bloom, it will be fantastic. I went on an overcast and cool Wednesday and had few crowds to compete with. Most of the food venues were closed when I visited, may be more open on weekends and in summer.
This is a great place to visit.
