I hate thinking about the hotel I stay in while I m traveling for work. I want to show up, know everything s in good order and go about my way. I also don t like feeling like I m putting out hotel staff, and I don t like my concerns being dismissed, ignored or neglected.

I checked into the Courtyard Los Angeles Westside on 10-21. Within an hour of checking in, I called the front desk to alert them to a substance on my bathroom floor that strongly resembled dried feces. Nobody came to clean it within a half hour, and I left for work to come back 3 hours later - and the substance was still there. I called the front desk and they sent someone up immediately, and she cleaned the substance very well. That evening, the TV remote wouldn t work so I called the front desk. An engineer came up, explained to me that somehow remotes don t work when you turn the tv, and swapped remotes with me. Almost immediately, the new remote only worked intermittently, and remained that way for the next two days. That night, I saw four ants crawling on the room s desk while I worked. The next morning my sink didn t drain for a half hour.

When I checked out I shared these issues with the counter work who wrote them on a notepad. Never once when I talked with your staff did they offer an apology or acknowledge the nastiness and inconvenience I experienced. Never once did they offer to compensate me for the experience I had there.
