We were a party of 5 visiting D.C. and like to try local specific places. This place was trendy, nice setting, mood of restaurant was great, there was even a live band. We ordered tea and bakery goods. The tea was great, bakery goods were a bit sweet, but that s of course per preference.
My biggest turn off was the service. One young cashier (wish I remembered her name) was pretty rude. I ll give it a benefit of the doubt at the fact that she s young (around 19/20 ish). I can understand as I have young employees myself. I did give her an evil stare and I think she caught on as she started smiling (pretty half heartedly), but at least she knew.
However, she was our first encounter upon arriving so it really ruined my mood. Once we sat down and she was out of sight, we enjoyed each other s company very much. I would recommend this place for a hang out spot. Just hope others have better cashiers when they arrive.
