Deception from the start. We signed up for an offer to receive calls and when we went to the interview they told us that the client (Leroy Merlin) had backed down and that they no longer needed telemarketers to receive calls but were looking for personnel to sell financial products at Santander bank .
Once there we did a spelling test and a presentation of our work experience. After about two hours, they selected half the people who were there and sent us to the training in a week.
We arrived at the training in a room with about 20 seats and there were twice as many: we had to sit on chairs and stools down the hall to fill the room. The two trainers were there (one of them nonstop chewing gum), a worker from Adecco (with her Louis Vuitton bag) and another from Eurofirms. At this point we had to reintroduce ourselves and relate our work experience. After two hours of presentations, the training began. Here I was surprised by the vocabulary the trainer used. He said that the client had to be "sucked" in order to sell the bank loan. They also spoke of excellence, the courtesy formulas that had to be used in calls but the first who should set an example are all of them.
