My parents were both at Whetstone, my father in the assisted living and my mother in the care center.

My mother arrived to long term care barely being able to recognize me, and thus was fairly non-responsive. Every time I visited her though she was clean and warm. Her hair always was smooth and brushed, which I am sure she enjoyed. I felt communication was good as to her condition.

My father enjoyed his assisted living apartment and it quickly became his home, where he got into his routines and lived his life. He was well cared for by the staff, who bonded with him. A credit to Whetstone is that for the 3+ years he was there the nurse manager, Jennifer, and overall manager, Jaclyn were constants - given the turnover in this business it was nice to see them and several other staff there not change through his stay! Jaclyn and Jennifer were easy to get a hold of and made time to check in with me when I visited my dad. They worked quickly to address any issues and helped guide me through any decisions that needed to be made.

The facility may not be as snazzy as some that have been built in the last couple years with over the top amenities that my parents would not have used, but the care and compassion they needed was delivered.
