Review of Hula Hut

This is a Chuy's by the lake with some more Polynesian flair... and I think Hula Hut is owned by Chuy's so that may be the best accurate description I can make. Coming here certainly does give the feel like you're going to the beach with a large serving area over the water as well with an interior made to feel like you're in some restaurant on the coast. You'll find the same comfort foods as you would in Chuy's, like their always great jalepeno ranch dip. I can honestly have a meal consisting nothing more than chips and their jalepeno ranch; I'm certain of this as I have done this before while waiting for a table. The wait here can be excruciatingly long, once my friends and I waited by the bar and ate ourselves full with their complimentary chips and jalepeno ranch that we honestly were no longer hungry so we returned the buzzer. When you finally do get a chance to eat here, I suggest their Hawaiian fajitas. Served with your choice of meat (beef, chicken, or shrimp), it comes on a hot sizzling platter along with bell peppers, green onions, and pineapple chunks all drizzled under a sweet Polynesian plum sauce that will be nice change from most fajitas.
