Adrianna Cai Review of Exploratorium

The Exploratorium recently opened its new location along the Embarcadero. As part of a conference, I was able walk through the museum with their designers as they highlighted all the different details put into the new space. The museum is open, modern, but still holding the same spirit as their original location. There are a few free exhibits outside, including the Fog Bridge. Every half hour the bridge is clouded by fog and laughter coming from the kids running through. Their restaurant, open to the public, serves freshly prepared sushi, roast chicken on the spit, and pizza. It s unlike any museum cafe, with floor to ceiling windows opening up to a beautiful view of Treasure Island and the Bay. There is an After Dark event for 18+ every first Thursday of the month. Tickets are $15, instead of the regular $25. Bonus: not having to share the exhibits with kids, just big ones. Tip: San Francisco residents get $5 off general admittance.
