We visited the 21st of Sept., Thru the 24th. This was a birthday get away , because my partner had never been to a casino. He had a great time! We spent lots of money. The Buffet was really not very good at all. The prime rib was so tough it must've been chuck? Prime rib is very tender! The price was extremely high for the buffet. We did enjoy the casino. Lots of penny slots. I looked for quarter slots, but there were very few. The staff was very friendly, and tried to be very accommodating . For a weekend get away , I'd say it was okay . If you really want to gamble , You may want to go to Tunica, or Vegas. We would go again, but not for 4 days . Maybe a over night visit. The grill in the casino that serves burgers, pizza, and hot dogs, had better tasting food than the buffet, and was very reasonable! Joshua was a very nice and helpful employee! He was all alone and still accommodated everyone there, and everyone was happy! I would rate the casino and grill 4 stars, but the buffet brought the overall rating down to a 3 star. There is another BIG problem, there are not enough restrooms. They are only on one side when you first enter, I think they need restrooms at least on 2 sides of the casino. Playing the machines, and buying drinks is definately a downer. Im not impressed by this. If all other casino's offer free drinks while your playing, then so should Harrah's. I understand the Illinois rule, but they could at least compensate their players with something, like maybe buy one get one free? (And the prices they charge, it still wont be free!) I will be prepaired the next time We visit. We know how to mix drinks, so we will, before going to the casino!
