Logan Romero Review of Hilton/ Doubletree Clearwater ...

From before we arrived to when we left was a bit of a Rollercoaster in terms of our customer satisfaction. We booked a room almost a year out in preparation for our wedding. Although there are special suites designed to accommodate couples getting married, we decided to stay in a normal room.
In the months leading up to our stay, we had many questions for the staff, as well as requests for services, and it seemed that this communication didn't go nearly as smooth as when we actually arrived. Had they been more responsive and seemed more caring (or accommodating) to this communication, it would have made our wedding planning less stressful. We were doing this planning half a world away, mind you.
There was also an issue with the iron in the room that stained one of my nice shirts. I had a short amount of time before the event I was attending and they couldn't deliver another iron in time (so I had to attend the event with a wrinkly shirt).
Although the room served its purpose, and the staff were mostly helpful/accommodating, these exceptions were why I chose the rating I did.
The breakfast buffet is delicious (especially the omelet that's made in front of you), but expensive ($18, if I remember correctly). The pool is awesome and has music piped into the pool (you hear it underwater!), as well as a bar.
The location is perfect for Clearwater Beach as well. I highly recommend the Surfside Taphouse across the street and the Starbucks located on the first floor facing the street. We didn't try the restaurant in the hotel, but it looked interesting from afar.
