Took my 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium in for warranty ...

Took my 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium in for warranty repair and my car has sat for 2 days without even being looked at! I scheduled an appointment and took the first one which wasn't available for a month. The date gets here and we take the car in by 8:45 AM. We get a call the next day to let us know they haven't even looked at the car yet! What is up with this? Is it normal for a dealership to keep your car for days without even looking at it? What is the point of scheduling an appointment for a warranty repair if they aren't even going to have time to look at the issue? When they finally look at the issue, how long is it going to take to repair the issue?
