By far one of the best zoo s! It was raining on and off and we still saw all the animals! We came here on a week day. It wasn t crowded so we practically had the whole zoo to ourselves. I believe it was $6 for parking which is ample and very close to any of their entrances. When you come in they let you donate to an animal habitat of your choice! Depending on the time of year you have the option to feed the birds in the sanctuary or fish to the penguins. We fed the penguins and got some additional knowledge while we were there. It s about $5 a feed which only includes 3 fish so it s a pretty quick experience but since no one else was there that day they spent more time with us. You can bring cash which is easier or you can go around the corner and pay by card.

They have quite a few places to eat but our favorite was the food court . At first we were worried there wouldn t be vegan options but guess what! They have them!! And let me tell you the vegan burger ROCKED! We ordered 3 for the family and a bunch of sides. Till this day the kids say that s the best vegan burger they ve had! Also, If you have kids on the smaller side they have an indoor play area across from the food court and it s SO cute inside. A bunch of interactive stuff to do. All 3 children had a ton of fun and it keeps you out of the rain while still getting to visit the zoo.

Now! Be prepared (if you re visiting from out of town) because it wasn t raining at first so bring an umbrella and rain boots (for the deep puddles throughout the park) anyway. We ended up renting umbrellas which became pricey and then because the park is so big we ended up renting a stroller too! Eeeek! The prices are high for this so bottom line, if you re in Seattle and you ve already seen the Gardens, the Cruise and the Pike definitely stop by the zoo. It s totally worth it for adults and children. What an amazing day!
