I love my sales guy. I really wanted to like this...

I love my sales guy. I really wanted to like this place, but I've never had anyone talk down to me like the service guy did. They guy interrupts me and goes off on a rant about the validity of what I said. I admit, I knew comparing a ram to a chevy was going to bring on some hard feelings, but it was going to be a simple comparison to show my displeasure of the silliness this Ram has been. Before I get close to the the point, he starts going off about how it's an apples to oranges comparison and how they can't be compared. Now, generally when someone interrupts me and talks over me and acts like I'm a child that doesn't know anything, i'm going to bring attitude back with me. (This is called respond verses react. I have training in management and sales.) When I get snippy and say, "yes I can compare this" He acts super offended and starts going on about "i can get you a different manager" and starts going off about hows he's been doing this for 25 years. Rolls into all this with no pauses. if I wouldn't stop him, he would be ranting for minutes.
He talked down to me like I was stupid, I get snippy, he acts super offended. The whole time he's calling me sir, like he thinks he's being respectful. We had about 5 cycles of this. I wish I would have accepted his offer of a different service manager the first time. When it was all said and done, when he was giving me the final paperwork for the loaner, I brought the most respectful neutral game i had and asked him about if he's read consumer reports. They compare everything in that. Once again, he takes it back to him saying I compared it to a chevy. It didn't matter any other part of that conversation, it was going back to belittling me for because of that. I am 100% sure I can not have a two way conversation with this guy.

You know, over 50% of communication is non-verbal. How close to a sales guy is a service guy? They are the face of the whole service department. But, I wrote this review with them still having my truck... It's safe to say I'm not the smartest person you'll ever meet.

Oh yeah, fun little part. During this, the loaner i'm going to be given is a pacifica. On the phone on two separate occasions, I'm reserved a Renegade. I say to him, I thought I was getting a Renegade, he snips back with "plans change". A skilled "manager" or "sales" guy would bring the usual pleasantries of some sort of apology or a little story of what happened. Not this guy, you get what we'll give you and you should be thanking me for that.
I'm going to have this Ram for a few more years. I'm going to be rethinking my life choices of Wilde... I drop $50,000 on a truck, I expect to get someone with thick skin that will listen to me vent displeasure. I bought my previous 2 vehicles from a different place and they went above and beyond through every step of the way. I have many regrets with Wilde.

UPDATE:
The following day, a higher up heard what went down and called me. We talked over a half hour about stuff. Very personable guy who was willing to have a 2 sided conversation with me. They gave me the VIP treatment for the rest of the process. For that, I will raise it to 2 stars. Unfortunately, human nature dictates that bad experiences stay with you forever. I plan on never going back to this place. It turns out the guy that belittled me is a legitimate Manager of some sort, so Good luck to you with your visit.
