PACE PRIDE DOES NOT SHOW IN EVERYTHING THEY DO! It is my regret that I feel the need to write a review about my previous employer Pace Realty. During my 4 and half years of employment I raved about the company, staff and training programs. Sincey employment was terminated in April 2017 the quality of service I received was horrible. First of all, I was terminated by Leslie Smith, the Regional Manager, and given the reason was that I was not happy working for Pace and should look for happiness somewhere else . Yes, there had been issues onsite that caused stress for the leasing staff. The manager was co-managing 2 properties for over 4 months while the leasing consultant was off on maternity leave for roughly 2 of those months leaving me to handle all onsite residents, prospective renters and my own job as the Asst Manager. I had a temp leasing who help me keep my sanity. The property that sold was purchased by Luma Corp which they hired the Manager and leasing consultant and the are still employed. However he Asst Mgr either was not hired or chose not to apply so she had nowhere to to be relocated to for employment. I was terminated in April and given all PTO and bonuses since my termination was not for performance issues. I received my final pay check 2 weeks after my termination and the bonus check 2 months later. The new payroll assistant Ms. Pena advised me my checks was sent to the property and didn t offer to help find it. I had to call the property. When I called the property the asst mgr from the property that sold answered the phone. I knew then I was terminated so she could have my position at that property. I was so hurt. I thought I as a person meant more to Pace Realty than to be mislead about why I was terminated. It took several more weeks to get my bonuses and it was about $300 short. At his point, I gave up. Then to put the nail in the coffin, HR refused to respond to letter and calls from unemployment to verify the reason for termination. I waited the 30 days per unemployment requirements for a response and none was received so my unemployment was granted. I filled out 50+ applications without knowing what to put in the box why are you no longer with your employer? Until then did I know why I was terminated. Now I m trying to be my status for the 401k so I can roll it over to my new job and my status is still active. I called and spoke with Ms. Pena yesterday Tuesday, Nov 14th and she confirmed my status would be updated to inactive. I called today Wednesday, Nov 15th and my status was NOT updated. I called and asked Ms. Pena to please update my status and she advised me , she s too busy doing payroll to change my status . I asked for the HR and payroll admin Heather Blakley only to be told I can t be transferred and the status would be updated when she had time to do it. Ms. Pena asked me to hold and left me on hold for several minutes only to transfer me to Ms. Blakley s voicemail. I never thought I would fell so my disappointment and dissatisfaction from a company I PRIDED myself while I worked for them.
