My experience with Mortgage First has been great. When I first came to them, I was working two jobs, one paid hourly and one as an independent contractor, and I had a tricky situation trying to figure out income requirements, but Claire Mahoney bent over backward going through months of my paystubs trying to sort it all out. Unfortunately, she came to the conclusion that I would need more time to show steady income (since I was not paid hourly or by salary) before I could qualify for any loan, but I was grateful for her honesty and how she explained it all to me. In contrast, I had also contacted another agency and gave them the same info I gave Claire, and yet they told me I was approved right away and had me out looking at houses, one of which I fell in love with, only to find out a few days later that I shouldn't have even been shopping the market in the first place because I didn't qualify due to income requirements. I canned the other agency and will deal only with Claire and Mortgage First from now on. They do their homework and tell you straight. Thank you, Claire!
