I see mixed reviews here. We expected something very simple even rustic. There were a few surprises. Bathroom dispensers for shampoo, soap, shower gel, conditioner, and lotion. Very clean small room w tv which we never used. In June we slept with just a cover sheet and AC on all night. Daytime temp was 123. It takes a special breed of person to make a living and a life in the middle of Death Valley. One gentleman who works there runs a fantastic night sky activity with a huge telescope. We were lucky to arrive the night of a new moon, a very dark sky, and saw several planets up close with the telescope. The next day he was offering a free three-hour tour to guests of the hotel. That tour would take people to many of the local highlights such as badwater the lowest place on earth. My husband wants to be sure I point out how wonderful the staff was.
