**Edit: I see others have gotten a response, where I still have not even gotten an apology for them making me and my guest wait an additional 30 minutes past my scheduled ceremony, or even that they wanted to put the blame on us for "not paying". Yet the company is very quick to tell everyone else what they (bride/groom) did wrong. This company doesn't own up for their mistakes!! We didnt change plans, paid everything in full the day invoice was received(they cant keep track) and my whole party (we figured 13 but was 9) was there 15 minutes ahead as requested. **
We planned and decided 2 weeks before Halloween to get married on that day. I placed an order for the officiant and venue. I paid the deposit to hold our spot and time for 11am. The next day, we received the invoice and paid it in full through my husband's account. We signed all contracts and received and email 2 days before the ceremony confirming the Location, time, date, and name of officiant. I never spoke with one person in all those days. We were told to be at the location 15 minutes before our scheduled time. Our full party was already there. We waited and noone had arrived by 11am. We called the company (which was closed at the time) and text a number that had sent over our COVID questionnaire. I was get frustrated as I was not getting a response from anyone. Contract asked for everyone to be there 15 minutes ahead and there would be a fee if later then 15 minutes late. By 11:05 I finally heard back from the pastor who was on his way. He arrived (11:37am) and he performed such an amazing ceremony. He was great and was able to even pronounce my husband's last name. He apologized for being late and stated it was a time frame error. 2 days later, I received a text message stating the the reason he was late was due to us not making the payment and not being scheduled in. Umm hello- I received an email a few days earlier confirming the date and I always screenshot payments we make. I was TOLD "We need you to make payment ASAP so we can remove the hold from your marriage license". They did not have my license, we had already gone that morning to the court house and registered it. We were sent another invoice ( same invoice number as before) to make the payment. I sent the screenshots of the payment confirmation from the day we made the payment in full. I was told they had the payment but received it under his name and the reservation was under my name. But both of our names are on the contract, the money was paid to the same invoice number, so I'm not sure where they thought the extra amount showed up into their account. I was ok with him being a bit late and being so professional, nice, and performing an amazing ceremony. But to receive a message a few days later giving me an excuse insteading of just owning up to him being late, then threatening to hold my marriage license they do not have. That's what bothered me the most. I would not have called and called after 11am if I had not paid for my services already.
